Full-Time Lake City Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate

Shelter Advocate - Lake City, FL

*Must be able to work nights and weekends as this position requires that and is pertaining to that schedule. Due to requirements by DCF the schedule cannot be changed from the set hours*

Schedule for this position:

Saturday & Sunday 12am - 12pm
Monday 4pm - 12am
Wednesday 12am - 8am

At Another Way, Inc. our Advocates assist survivors who are victimized by domestic and sexual violence. We provide support and counseling in an empowerment-based atmosphere while also aiding in the prevention of domestic and sexual violence. Our Advocates provide positive alternatives to violence through community education, appropriate modeling, support services and safe shelter.

Because we are a team you must be flexible as we do occasionally have to cover a different shift when someone is out sick.

REQUIREMENTS:

Have a valid driver's license and car insurance.

Must pass a background check.

Basic computer skills needed.

Bi-lingual a plus but not required.
